Genesys was set up as a partnership by three principals in 1995, becoming a limited company in 1997. Later, two of the three retired at different times, and since 2003 Frances Follin has run the company, now Genesys Consultants Limited, trading as ‘Genesys’.

Frances Follin began her career in the printing industry, producing corporate annual reports and other financial materials, and fine art catalogues and commercial colour publications, for a City printing company. Later she worked in financial advertising and in print production roles for training materials publishers before founding Genesys with her two original partners. She has many years’ experience of editing and producing a wide variety of texts and has a wide range of contacts gained during her career.
Frances is a member of the Association of Art Historians (AAH) and the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP). She has served as a trustee of the AAH, and has presented papers at AAH conferences and run workshops at SfEP conferences.
